What we do

Responsibilities of the property team include:
 

• General maintenance works e.g. light bulb replacement, removal of leaves from the car parks as well as the gutters at the South and North Hall. We also deal with any blocked downpipes.
   

• Annual servicing of heating boilers and fire alarms/detectors.
   

• Oversight of larger works being carried out by contractors e.g. resurfacing of the South Hall car park.

During the 2024 summer break the property team have coordinated the removal of the stage in the South Hall which was carried out by Springburn Men's Shed Group. The property team then replaced the floor at the stage area and the wall panelling behind where the stage was. New storage will now be installed at the rear wall for our organisations.

The property team meet every Wednesday morning from 9.30 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. at whichever site work is needed that week. If you would like to join our team, even on an ad-hoc basis, please contact either George Redpath or Jim Johnstone on the numbers below - you would be most welcome.

At times, larger jobs do come up where we look for additional help. These requests are usually announced in church during Sunday intimations.
